In 1995 The Evangelical Church and the Missionary Church joined together to form Zion Church. Zion has been an integral part of our community for over 100 years.
Zion Evangelical Missionary Church strives to continually be a family where people are able to grow both personally and as a community. Our desire is to see people fall passionately in love with God and serve Him with the gifts they have been given.
We are committed to serving both our community of Didsbury and around the world. We invite you to check out some of those ministries as you peruse this website. We would also extend an invitation for you to get to know us by sharing a Sunday with us. We would love to meet you.

"God's GPS"
Picture yourself living in a small village, an area where there has been a long war… You live there with your family, including young children… Almost every day, you hear at least one explosion... And a little later, you hear the sound of wailing, and weeping… because everyday, someone, a father, a mother, a child or a grandparent leaves the safety of your village, and steps on a land mine.. Some are killed, and some are wounded.. but all are seriously injured. You live in fear for yourself, for your loved ones, and for your neighbours...
One day, a man comes into your village, gathers everyone around him, and then he declares, "I have something for you...." He holds up a large rolled up piece of paper "This is a map that shows you where every landmine is planted.. every single one" "I give it to you for no cost, simply because I love you."
The 10 Commandments are like waypoints on a GPS that warn us where not to tread. They are not simply negative commands to keep us from enjoying ourselves, but rather positive points that help us avoid getting destroyed in this life.
