Live like children who belong to the light. Ephesians 5:8
The driving purpose of all that we do in the Children’s Ministry here at Zion is to help kids come to know Jesus; to accept Him, to trust Him and to serve Him. We have a comprehensive ministry where Sunday School, Zionkids Worship, Awana, Vacation Bible School and our Soccer Clubs build on each other and complement each other. We see the results of our efforts as our kids are becoming God-centered, faithful, and wise.
Sunday School starts at 9:30. There are classes for all ages, with teachers fully dedicated to seeing your child come to know Christ. In Sunday School we strive to build confidence in the kids and train them to minister to their peers. The training they receive in the Sunday School hour is put into practice during the church service at Zionkids Worship. Our kids are learning and teaching each other at the same time.
Zionkids worship takes place during the morning service. Through kid’s style worship, great drama and small group time, it is a time for children to express their love for the Lord in a style that’s all their own.
There is a spot for you in Children’s Ministry at Zion. If you love to bake cookies, love to share your faith, have been told you are funny, like to play games or have never tried anything like this before we have many things you can do. We practice Plan to Protect and screen all children’s workers.
AWANA provides an exciting and progressive plan of spiritual growth and character building. Starting in Cubbies, moving through Sparks and T&T, the kids learn the Bible; they memorize scripture, they know the salvation message and how to tell others, and they learn the foundational principles of the Christian life. Through handbook time, games, the songs and the message, the kids are growing in their faith, the knowledge of who Jesus is and what His desire is for them. AWANA happens every Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:00, for kids ages 3-gr 6.
