Compassion Ministries

The church is to be a reflection of Christ’s heart for people.
At ZEMC we are committed to demonstrating Christ-like love by caring for practical and spiritual needs in the body of Christ and the community.
- We will care - visiting people in the church and community, especially the elderly, ill, or those in need, giving prayer and counsel
- We will reach out – befriending, arranging transportation to appointments or to church, providing meals, introducing Christ
- We will bridge the gap - those in the church body and community, who may need temporary financial aid in a crisis situation, may be helped with a gift made possible through the generous giving of God’s people to the Good Samaritan Fund.
Other opportunities for us to serve include:
- Communion services
- Prayer chain
- Chapel services (held at Seniors Lodges)
- Make a difference in someone's life! Come serve with us.
Zion@Work is part of Compassion Ministries, which exists to provide assistance to individuals or families in need by extending the love of Jesus to our church family and our community through practical "Acts of Kindness"; for example:
- Handymen or women for small household repairs
- Moves
- Car maintenance and repair
- Yard work
- Painting
